AccManThe man who doesn’t sleep
Some people think of me as the man who doesn’t sleep. Last night was certainly one of those occasions.
Once again I found (or rather was told about) problems with AccMan. It seems some security issues have arisen and now I am faced with a massive backup and restore problem. All part of life’s rich tapestry you might think but no fun when you’ve accumulated over 3,200 posts, &,000+ comments, attachments and goodness knows what else.
Unfortunately, Wordpress (which provides the backbone for AccMan) does not have a graceful way of importing what amounts to 15MB of data. Instead, it has to be broken up into bite sized pieces and even then it chokes on more than 120 or so entries, requiring continued refreshes. Not much fun I have to say.
Anyhoo – look forward to more service outages while I work through and resolve the problems. In the meantime, I am stoking up on coffee
